My drug of choice was heroin.
Until they put me here against my will.
At the time it was my only viable choice.
I preferred stumbling through life numb to it all.
But now I’m here, and every sound and every emotion is heightened to a level I never knew existed.
Then somehow, in a moment of weakness it became all about him.
He makes me feel things I never thought possible.
I thought he was my antidote, but it turns out that he’s just my new drug of choice.

Suspenseful, incredible, descriptive, enthralling.
Tegan is a junkie. Her life has spiraled out of control in a few years and it’s time for her to get clean. This story is her journey through rehab and how hard it is to withdraw from an addiction. She develops feelings for her counselor and from there she finds another addiction.
I am amazed at the descriptions and character development in this book. From the very beginning I was in love with Tegan, through her tears and anger, through her happiness and excitement, I was there.
This is a startling tale of grief, loss, triumph and addiction. A must read for anyone who loves a great triumphant story.
